No paper is sat here. Not invigilated, not remotely monitored, not an open-book paper inside your own account. Nobody participates in anything checking identity against your presence, and nothing is supplied that interferes with monitoring software. There is no premium tier behind that sentence.
This is not squeamishness. It is a question of where the consequence settles. When somebody else takes your paper their involvement ends as the payment clears, while yours does not end at all: it sits on a transcript, inside a programme, attached to a licence application years from now. That imbalance is the actual thing being sold, and it deserves a look before anybody sells it to you.
There is a practical point sitting underneath the principle. These systems capture far more than a video feed and they keep what they capture, with the review sometimes happening weeks afterwards rather than on the day. Getting through the sitting is therefore not the same as getting through the exam.
02What the software is actually doing.
Worth knowing before weighing anybody's offer, because the picture most people carry is of somebody watching a video feed live, and that is the smallest part of it.
- It records rather than merely watches, and the recording is retained, frequently for a long time.
- It logs the machine as well as the room: what else was running, what gained focus, what the network did.
- It flags rather than judges, and the flags are reviewed afterwards by a person, sometimes weeks afterwards.
- Which means an arrangement that appeared to pass at the time is not the same thing as one that passed.
- And the review, when it comes, arrives to you rather than to whoever was paid.
03Coaching, and when it is too late to start.
Almost every standardised and course paper publishes something describing its composition: content areas, their proportions, the kind of thinking the questions want. That document should drive the revision and almost never does, because hardly anybody opens it.
So a plan starts there, weighted the way the paper weights itself rather than by what is enjoyable, practised in the real format with the same tools present or absent, and timed from the first session rather than once it feels comfortable. Then the answers you got wrong are read rather than counted, by somebody credentialed in that subject.
How late is too late deserves a real answer rather than an encouraging one. A fortnight can move a result materially. Four days can still help where the difficulty is pacing or one misread question shape, and will not repair a genuine gap running across the syllabus. You are told which of those applies to you. Where the paper sits inside a course already carried here through the whole course, preparation is scheduled across the term instead of crammed at the end.
04When the paper is not the real difficulty.
It frequently is not. People write in frightened of a final, and the reading of their syllabus shows a course where that paper carries a modest slice of the mark while some unremarkable weekly obligation swallowed most of the term. Passing the exam would not have rescued that course.
So the syllabus gets read before anything is sold. It comes back taken apart, free, inside two hours, with the item genuinely costing you marked out. Where the paper turns out to be small and something else large, the sorting page covers where to go.

Is there any paper you would sit?
None, and no rephrasing of the question changes it. Invigilated, remotely monitored, open-book, a low-stakes quiz: each involves somebody presenting as you to a system that is checking. Those orders are refused rather than negotiated, which is better said on this page than discovered after money has moved.
Other places say they can. Are they lying?
Some can technically deliver what they advertise, which is a separate question from whether buying it is wise. Weigh where the consequence settles: their side ends when the payment clears, yours stays on a record. And these systems keep what they capture, so a quiet sitting proves less than it seems to.
My paper is in four days. Is coaching still worth it?
Sometimes, and you get a straight answer instead of a session sold to you. Four days allows weighted review of the heaviest areas and a couple of timed sets, which helps most when pacing or one misread question shape is the trouble. Against a real gap running the width of the syllabus, it will not.
What about take-home or open-book papers?
Entirely on your own course's rules, which are asked about before a figure rather than after. Some open assessments plainly permit outside help; others plainly forbid collaboration of any kind. Where they forbid it the order is declined. Where they permit it, it is ordinary work.
What does coaching cost?
By the session and by the material. A single diagnostic sitting with the wrong answers properly read costs a small fraction of a plan running for weeks, and where a score has stopped moving the diagnostic on its own is often what shifts it.
