What is the one line of the syllabus you most want?

The participation policy: how many separate days you owe. That single sentence drives the entire schedule of an arrangement here, and quoting without it would be guesswork.

Can participation be covered without the assignments?

Yes, and it is what most people ask for. It occupies the most days, carries a modest share of the mark, and is the least expensive line on any slip. The assignments stay with you.

What can be done about a learning team?

Your own section can be written properly, and the compilation handled where five pieces have arrived in five different shapes. Nobody can make an absent member contribute, so send your instructor a short written note the moment it becomes clear.

Is it worth planning several courses at once?

Almost always, because enrolment runs continuously and the tiredness travels forward even when the gradebook shows nothing. Mapping the next three usually reveals that covering fewer of them properly beats spreading thin help across all of them.

How late is too late in a five-week course?

Week four is usually the edge, and you will be told plainly rather than sold to. With one week remaining the honest answer is often to protect the next course instead, which costs less and works better.
